I have been away from the blog for a few weeks. Mostly because I have been working on upgrading my computer system to include the new Dragon naturally speaking 12 software. At this point in time, I am currently working on the professional version of the software. My personal opinion is very favorable on it’s upgrades and new working style. Most specifically, I am very happy with the fact that now it is bringing up a dictation box inside of the WordPress working system which allows me to type and talk very happily and very quickly along with making text corrections that seamlessly integrate back into the posting space on the WordPress system.
In late February, I placed a trade on Nuance Communications. Coincidentally enough, this is also the company that makes Dragon NaturallySpeaking 12. In short, the small battle that I won was making money through selling a put on the options market. I sold two of these. The first one was at $18 and the second one was at $19. Both of these had an expiration in March 2013. I was also using the thinkorswim mobile trading software to make this particular option occur. At the end of the day, it was favorable to me that I did not quite understand if the software was giving me the accurate portrayal of my win loss potential. The reason for this is because I dropped approximately $150 in the hole on this trade. Luckily, I followed some of the principles from the Phils gang chart reading style and was able to hold onto the stock until that we positive approximately $130. At the end of the day, I probably netted $90 out of the trade because of a $20 fee each way to trade both of the option contracts across multiple traits. With a bankroll of approximately $15,000, the most that I had put at risk if the options had gone south was $8000.
For me this was a great accomplishment and a small pebble within the pond of riches that I will achieve.
Thank you for taking the time to read this blog post and happy trading!
