Today, I felt motivated to write about the 6% bet. For anyone who invests in a 401(k) or similar plan, I describing the process of marching contributions. In my case, 50% of the initial 6% of the contribution is matched. For all enthusiasts, this means an instant 50% contribution return for doing nothing — outside of making the commitment to contributing 6% of your income. I’m calling this the 6% bet because the hope resides in this growing my investment faster. However, I really don’t know how well the money has done. In short, I don’t know the nearly 14 year ROI on investing this money. Frankly this is a bite shocking, and the new interest for a study. I have no doubt more wealth than not has been gained, however what is the exact numerical percent?
if you’re using this vehicle as a method to fund retirement, let me know. I’d love to heard your opinion.
